Guidelines, Advice, and Roadmap

• The PlatformX jobfeed includes an exclusive compilation of personally-handpicked jobs. About 99% are curated, while the rest are from my networks (jobs shared with me, etc.).
• NOTE: 1% of the jobs, most of which are in the free PlatformX jobfeed, aren’t fully vetted.
• Always message, interview, and/or background-check the client/company.
• Each listed job on the jobfeed is clickable. It will lead to a page containing the job post (inside or outside PlatformX).
• You can do a simple search (CTRL + F on Windows) using keywords such as “customer” or “engineer”. I highly suggest you scan the entire jobfeed.
• Read each job post that interests you completely and carefully. Clients may update their job posts anytime and that is out of PlatformX’s control.
• Apply to a job when you have a 50-90%+ fit to its qualifications/criteria (the higher your % fit, the better) and especially if the job involves your passion and field of experience/expertise. Many clients are flexible and understanding, and sometimes, “getting your foot in the door” by applying is all it takes.
• If you qualify but the online job specifies “remote + location”, apply anyway. Remember, PlatformX doesn’t have job application fees, unlike Upwork and others. Also, there are many companies that are flexible, as long as you’re a great fit for the role they’re hiring for. To be sure, always ask if the position is ok for fully remote work.
• There are companies/clients that put “remote” in one part of their job post, and then put “remote + location” in another part of their job post. While others are more consistent: when they put “remote”, it really means “remote anywhere”. Many companies also make the mistake of not adding all relevant details to their job posts.
• Right now, we don’t have the mechanism to check/specify if an online job is still open or not. Some companies do not update their job posts promptly.
• Unless otherwise stated, the jobs listed are fully-remote and full-time jobs. Read the job post to be sure.
• When you see a “Spontaneous Application” or similar job post, you should apply!
• Currently, clients have no access to PlatformX. You’d have to apply to them directly.
• Once our platform is ready, you’re expected to bring the client into PlatformX in order to reduce your risks (non-payment, scams, etc.).
• Please keep in mind this is version 0.1 – the earliest version. We’ll add personalization, login, job filters, payment, messaging, and many other features in future versions. Remember that you don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great, and great things start from small beginnings!🙂
• For Founding Members only: You may see multiple jobfeeds in the future (with/without login/password), where each jobfeed may contain 50-100 jobs per page; more jobs will be listed in separate jobfeeds. This is a temporary and deliberate measure.
• For Founding Members only: You aren’t charged for this access. Your access to PlatformX now is still FREE. Your membership will start running at a later milestone (official launch date or another milestone to be announced). Again, this is my way of saying “thank you” for being one of the Founding Members!
