Purpose of the Role
We measure impact by the number of creators who receive a payment on Ko-fi in any given month. You’ll help us grow that number by carefully picking projects that help more creators discover or make the most out of Ko-fi.
Things You’ll Do
We’re looking for a marketer whose core talent is great writing, but who can also help us level up all aspects of our comms.
The core of the role is great writing
We sweat every word we write. From screens in the product, to help articles, announcements, even job ads! We care about quality and clarity and we’re allergic to jargon.
We need someone to inspire and motivate creators to succeed on the platform. You’ll own and hone Ko-fi’s tone of voice, writing everything from blogs to website copy to onboarding emails and product screen copy.
And your work will have a big impact! Every month around 20 million people visit [Ko-fi.com](http://Ko-fi.com), we send millions of emails, and get just as many views on social.
But it’s not just content
You might also spend your time:
– Talking with creators,
– Developing landing pages,
– Improving the onboarding experience,
– A/B testing variants of emails or pages,
– Helping develop the brand & positioning,
– Running ads, analysing results and iterating,
– Recruiting influencers to join/activate on Ko-fi.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be an incredible writer who can adapt to speak the language of creators in a fun and friendly tone.
You’ll show you can immerse yourself in the world of creators of all kinds! You’ll be pragmatic, analytical and focus on quality and impact over quantity.
You’re more of a doer than a talker. We are action-oriented and have a lot to do so we need people who will pick things up and run with them to completion.
You’ll have a demonstrable body of work showing real projects.
You’ve worked in a startup or consumer tech environment before or have created something meaningful on your own (think side project, community etc).
Extra credit
These aren’t essential, but they’re definitely worth telling us about!
– You’re a creator of some kind yourself
– You’ve got some extra technical skills like simple HTML/CSS editing
– You can design things in Canva/Figma/Adobe suite that look high quality
